Gardening
Gardening is a hobby of mine that I absolutely love. However, I will be honest, I am still quite the novice at it. As I learn and grow as a gardener, you will get to see my triumphs and pitfalls. It will be fun and exciting, as it is every season when I try to plant something new. What I enjoy most about gardening is that it makes me feel like anything is possible. Each spring I try my hand at something new, sometimes they grow, sometimes they need some TLC, but what I find most rewarding is that each season I get another chance.
Mini Farm
In purchasing our new home, my husband and I considered owning chickens so we could have fresh eggs from our own backyard. Nearly six months after moving in, he surprised me with three hens on my birthday. I was ecstatic. It has been over a year since we got our layer hens, and it has been a learning experience for sure. Fortunately, he has experience raising chickens, so his knowledge has been a big help. Over the past year, I have also learned more about their feeding, hydration, and overall ways to keep them comfortable and happy.
On my blog, I plan to share my crafting projects as I create them. Over the past years, I have made many projects, such as hats, baby booties, blankets, sweaters, skirts, pajamas, cloth pads, and more. However, in recent years, I have also been exploring other hobbies like painting and home decor. Starting this new blog excites me because it gives me a space to share my craft projects and motivates me to keep creating and exploring my many talents.
Book Reviews
I absolutely love reading. I love books of all types: hard copies, audiobooks, and ebooks, but nothing can compete with a hard copy. My children and I frequent the library each week so they can find something new to read. It is a quiet place where we can browse books and connect with lterature both old and new. In the blog, I will be sharing my latest reads, old favorites, and books that I have on my wish list. Shown above are some of my absolute favorite reads.
